What Is Tradewink?
Tradewink is a Discord-first AI trading platform that monitors markets, generates trade ideas, and can execute trades autonomously through your broker account. It combines real-time data from dozens of sources with multi-model AI analysis to surface high-probability opportunities across stocks, options, and prediction markets.
This guide walks you through every part of the platform so you can get the most out of it.
Creating Your Account
Sign up at tradewink.com — no credit card required. The free tier gives you momentum breakout and regime change signals immediately. Once you sign in, you land on the dashboard.
The Dashboard
Your dashboard is the command center with five main tabs:
Overview
A snapshot of your account — active positions, recent signals, and key metrics at a glance.
Market
Real-time market data, sector heatmaps, and regime status.
Watchlist
Your personal watchlist with live prices, technical levels, and AI monitoring status.
Signals
View your full signal history with filters for ticker, signal type, direction, and outcome. Each signal expands to show the complete AI analysis, entry/stop/target levels, risk:reward ratio, confidence score, and tagged catalysts. Completed trades are marked as wins, losses, or expired.
Analytics
Performance tracking across your signals — win rate, P&L, and breakdowns by signal type and ticker.
Connecting Your Broker
Connect your brokerage account to enable automated execution. Tradewink supports 11 brokers: Alpaca, Tradier, Interactive Brokers, Schwab, Webull, Moomoo, TradeStation, tastytrade, Coinbase, NinjaTrader, and OANDA. Your API keys are encrypted with Fernet encryption and never stored in plaintext.
To connect:
- Go to the app settings page
- Select your broker
- Enter your API credentials (key + secret, or OAuth for supported brokers)
- Choose paper or live mode
Tradewink always starts in paper mode. You must explicitly enable live trading after you're comfortable with the system.
The Discord Bot
Tradewink lives in Discord. Add the bot to your server or receive signals via DM.

Conversational AI
You can also just talk to Tradewink naturally. Ask questions like "What do you think about NVDA?" or "Should I sell my TSLA position?" and the AI responds with context-aware analysis drawing on real-time data.
Building Your Watchlist
Your watchlist determines which stocks get priority scanning. Watchlist tickers are:
- Scanned first in every agent cycle (before the broader universe)
- Given a +15 point score boost in the day trade screener
- Monitored for significant price moves, volume surges, and news events
- Included in your personalized weekly digest
Add tickers through the dashboard or via Discord commands.
Autopilot (Autonomous Day Trading)
When autopilot is enabled, Tradewink's AI runs a complete trading pipeline every 60 seconds during market hours:
- Screen — Scans 200+ tickers for opportunities using volume, ATR, gap, RSI, relative volume, and more (with dynamic Finviz sourcing expanding the universe)
- Evaluate — Runs technical analysis, strategy engines, and AI conviction scoring on candidates
- Size — Calculates position size using risk-based, ATR-based, and half-Kelly methods (most conservative wins)
- Execute — Submits orders through your broker with full risk checks
- Monitor — Tracks positions with trailing stops, regime-shift exits, and end-of-day flattening
Safety guardrails include daily loss limits, position concentration limits, PDT rule enforcement, circuit breakers, and monk mode (which skips unfavorable conditions like quiet hours or pre-earnings windows).
Understanding AI Confidence Scores
Every signal includes a confidence score from 0-100:
- 80+ — AI Conviction: multiple factors align, highest-probability setup. These signals are labeled "strong" and require multi-agent debate.
- 60-79 — Standard conviction: the signal meets all criteria and the AI has reasonable confidence in the setup.
- 40-59 — Cautious: the AI sees a potential opportunity but factors are mixed.
- Below 40 — Low conviction: included for informational purposes but not recommended for trading.
The default minimum confidence threshold is 70%. The confidence score is calibrated over time — Tradewink tracks whether high-confidence signals actually win more often and adjusts its calibration accordingly.
Market Regime Detection
Tradewink uses a Hidden Markov Model to classify the current market regime:
- Bull — Trending up, favor momentum and breakout strategies
- Bear — Trending down, favor defensive and mean-reversion strategies
- Sideways — Range-bound, favor mean-reversion and VWAP strategies
The AI adapts its strategy weights, position sizing, and signal thresholds based on the detected regime. When the regime is transitioning, the system reduces exposure automatically.
Tips for Getting the Most Out of Tradewink
- Start with signals only — Read the AI analysis for every signal before acting. Understanding the reasoning makes you a better trader.
- Paper trade for 2-4 weeks — Build confidence in the system before risking real capital.
- Follow the confidence scores — Start with 80+ signals only. Expand to lower-confidence signals as you learn.
- Don't override stop losses — The AI calculates stops based on ATR and support levels. Moving your stop "to give it more room" is how small losses become big ones.
- Check your weekly digest — Every Friday, Tradewink sends a summary of the week's signals, wins, losses, and market outlook. Use this to track your progress.
