Tradewink Signals: AI-Powered Trading Signals Explained

Everything you need to know about Tradewink Signals — 16 signal types, how they work, delivery channels, pricing plans, and how to act on AI-generated trade ideas.

What Are Tradewink Signals?

Tradewink Signals is an AI-powered trading signal service that monitors markets continuously and delivers actionable trade ideas with full written analysis. Each signal tells you what to trade, when to enter, where to place your stop, your price target, risk:reward ratio, confidence score, and a detailed explanation of why the opportunity exists.

Signals are delivered via Discord (DM or server channel), email, webhook, or the dashboard — you choose.

The 16 Signal Types

Tradewink generates 16 distinct signal types, each targeting a different market edge:

Momentum & Trend

  • Momentum Breakout — Stocks breaking above resistance on surging volume. The AI detects the pattern forming before the breakout completes, giving you early positioning.
  • Momentum Alert — Intraday momentum surges (2%+ moves with volume confirmation). For active day traders who want to catch fast moves as they happen.

Mean Reversion

  • Mean Reversion — Oversold stocks bouncing off statistical support levels. The AI confirms the bounce with volume, RSI divergence, and sector context before triggering.

Options & Volatility

  • Options Flow — Unusual institutional options activity: large sweeps, dark pool prints, and block trades that reveal what smart money is positioning for.
  • Volatility PlayImplied volatility rank extremes. When options are mispriced (too expensive or too cheap relative to historical volatility), the AI identifies the opportunity.

Fundamental & Filing

  • Insider Activity — Significant insider buying or selling from SEC Form 4 filings. Cluster buys by multiple insiders are particularly powerful signals.
  • SEC Filing — Real-time AI summaries of 8-K, 10-K, 10-Q, proxy statements, and activist filings. The AI reads the filing and extracts what matters for the stock price.
  • Earnings Play — Pre-earnings IV expansion plays and post-earnings momentum trades. Combines earnings whisper data, options positioning, and historical earnings reactions.

Macro & Regime

  • Macro AlertVIX spikes, yield curve movements, Fear & Greed extremes, and other macro events that affect your entire portfolio.
  • Regime Change — Hidden Markov Model detects market regime shifts (bull to bear, bear to range-bound). These signals help you adjust your overall positioning.
  • Sector Rotation — Money flowing between GICS sectors. The AI detects rotations 3-7 days early by analyzing relative strength, fund flows, and economic data.

Advanced

  • Pairs Trade — Cointegrated stock pairs that have diverged beyond normal bounds. Market-neutral strategy with built-in hedging — profit from the convergence regardless of market direction.
  • AI Conviction — The highest-confidence signals where multiple factors align simultaneously. Only 2-5 per week. These require multi-agent debate: three AI models independently analyze the setup and must reach consensus.

Informational

  • Stock Suggestion — AI-generated buy ideas based on cross-watchlist analysis, sector strength, and fundamental screening.
  • Market Outlook — Daily and weekly AI analysis synthesizing macro data, sector trends, technical levels, and sentiment into an actionable market view.
  • Weekly Digest — End-of-week summary delivered every Friday with signal performance, market recap, and the outlook for the week ahead.

How Signals Are Generated

The AI pipeline runs continuously during market hours:

  1. Data ingestion — Real-time price feeds, options chains, SEC filings, news, insider transactions, dark pool prints, and macro indicators from Polygon, Finnhub, FRED, EDGAR, Finviz, and more.
  2. Screening — 200+ tickers (with dynamic Finviz sourcing expanding the universe) scored on volume, volatility, gap, RSI, relative volume, 52-week proximity, and sector momentum.
  3. Strategy analysis — Multiple strategy engines (momentum, mean-reversion, breakout, VWAP, opening range breakout) independently evaluate each candidate.
  4. AI scoring — Claude AI evaluates the setup with full market context and assigns a conviction score. For AI Conviction signals, three models debate independently.
  5. Risk filtering — Signals must pass risk checks: minimum risk:reward, maximum correlation to existing positions, regime compatibility, and confidence thresholds.
  6. Delivery — Qualifying signals are delivered to subscribers based on their plan tier and preferred channels.

Delivery Channels

  • Discord DM — Direct message to your Discord account
  • Discord server — Posted to a channel in your Discord server
  • Email — Rich HTML email with the full signal breakdown
  • Webhook — JSON payload to your endpoint (HMAC-signed on Pro+) for custom integrations
  • Dashboard — Always available in your Tradewink dashboard with full history

What Each Tier Adds

Starter adds the most popular fundamental signals — earnings plays, insider activity, and macro alerts. Good for swing traders who check signals a few times per day.

Pro adds institutional-grade signals — options flow, sector rotation, volatility plays, pairs trades, and SEC filing analysis. The real-time delivery and HMAC webhook signing make this the tier for active traders and developers building on the API.

Elite unlocks AI Conviction signals (the highest-probability setups), full REST API access, custom alert rules, and priority support. For serious traders who want every possible edge.

How to Act on a Signal

  1. Read the full analysis — Don't just look at the ticker and direction. The written analysis explains the thesis, catalysts, and what could go wrong.
  2. Check the risk:reward — A 2:1 risk:reward means you stand to gain twice what you risk. Higher is better. The minimum varies by plan (2.0:1 on Free down to 1.2:1 on Elite).
  3. Respect the stop loss — The stop is calculated based on ATR and key support/resistance levels. Moving it wider is how small losses become account-damaging ones.
  4. Size appropriately — Never risk more than 1-2% of your account on a single trade. The signal gives you entry and stop — use those to calculate your position size.
  5. Track outcomes — Your dashboard shows win rate, average P&L, and performance by signal type. Use this data to focus on the types that work best for your trading style.
